Return of the Condor Heroes Anime released on DVD

For those of you who don't know. The Return of the Condor Heroes, who first 23 episodes were fansubbed by our friends over at live-evil.org, have been licensed and release by Tai Seng. live-evil.org is no longer releasing any of the 23 fansubbed episodes that they have previously released.

The first half of the series consist of 26 episodes, which will be released on 7 DVDs. The audio languages will be Cantonese Dolby Digital 5.1, English Dolby Digital 5.1, and Mandarin Stereo. No Japanese audio will be on this disc unfortunately. There will selectable English and Chinese subtitles. The disc will also contain a menu, chapters and trailers. It will be presented in full screen.

Theme song on the DVD release is sung by Andy Lau, the actor who played the title character in the HK TVB version in 1983.

Episode 1 is already released.
Expected release date for Volume 2 will be on 12/14/04.

Suggested retail price is $19.95

Also, the series is known as Condor Hero.

So far, I have not seen any reliable news as to when the final half of the series will be made. Since episode 26 ends at Loveless Valley.
